ILLUSTRATOR, RESEARCHER AND INTERACTION DESIGNER

Hello! I’m Yena Kim, a Korean American Interaction Designer. I was born in Korea; spent the majority of my young adulthood in Hawaii; Now living in Los Angeles pursuing my career as an Interaction Designer. My life in a variety of cultures allowed me to be multilingual and open to many different design challenges. These skills have really become my strength when I was able to not only develop a more people-oriented perspective but find a balance between playfulness and functionality of designs that can work even with a variety of cultural backgrounds. Before my journey as a designer, my background in business management also has helped with logical thinking, quick problem-solving, and skills to adapt efficiently in more difficult situations.

My skills I have obtained as an interaction designer allows me to combine these different aspects of my life into creating a new creative solution to design challenges. I love working with people and challenging myself with new ideas. My dream as an interaction designer is to find a project that I am truly passionate about and create a design that can make an impact on the community but also environmentally friendly. Everyone should be able to challenge themselves forward while creating a positive environment.

So say hi, and I will look forward to creating new fun and playful ideas together!.
